As you can see, Spider-Man has some interesting stuff coming his way in the next few months. After Amazing Spider-Man #600, some of his old pals, including the super-hot Black Cat, will be returning to wreak havoc on the lives of Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
First of all, Amazing Spider-Man #600 is due out in July. This is another one of those anniversary issues so expect a 61 page main story (featuring Doc Ock!!!), a set of mini stories written by each of the Brain Trust featuring different characters in Spidey's universe, a Stan Lee story, and the 600 covers layout. In total, it will be 104 pages with no ads.
Immediately following that will be the Red-Headed Stranger arc. Of course, this arc will be about Mary Jane returning to the world of Peter Parker. Since One More Day, the two have been mystically split up and this arc promises to reveal some answers on the state of their relationship. Will she know his identity? Will they know the deal? According to the writers of the arc, they will be ex-lovers and we'll find out what she's been up to and the meaning of her voice message from the Fantastic Four plot.
Wait! There's more! Starting in November the series will begin its Gauntlet theme. This will a sequence of story arcs about Spidey's old villains returning. Some return together and some separately, but they will all be coming in waves and judging from the teaser image, Spider-Man will feel the effects.
Oh, and don't forget the Spectacular Spider-Man TV series will start its new season on Monday at 7:00 on Disney XD. It may not be as good as the Spider-Man show on Fox that aired in my childhood, but it's still fairly good. They take some artistic liberties with the origins, but most work very well.
Spider-Man will indeed be having an interesting next few months. 600 is on the horizon, his old pals and foes will be returning, and the TV show starts again. Surely all these amazing stories and occurrences will serve as the perfect advertisement to the new Spider-Man coming out next year. Spidey fans rejoice!
