New Comics - May 20, 2009

Some pretty big comic books coming out tomorrow. First off, the last chapter of Battle for the Cowl will be released. In this, a new Batman will finally be named. Will Nightwing take up the mantle? Will Robin remain in the tights? Or will Jason Todd continue as the crazy Batman? Sounds more like Battle of the Robins. I'm stoked, though, and this will be an important comic to the future of every Batman series.

Marvel is releasing a big issue tomorrow too. Captain America celebrates its 50th issue of the current volume. In it, Ed Brubanker will examine Bucky's best and worst birthdays. More of Bucky's history, right? Who cares? Every time, it's interesting and a great read.

Other big issues tomorrow; Amazing Spider-Man #594 ends its 24/7 arc, a new villain joins the team in Thunderbolts #132, and more Psylocke and the Sisterhood in Uncanny X-Men #510.

The Planet Skaar Prologue also comes out tomorrow. It's supposed to be the third act of Greg Pak's Planet Hulk series. I'm not interested in this at all. Seems lame and Skaar was a dumb concept from the beginning.
