Whew! Last week was a doozy, wasn't it? I did a total of 14 reviews. Well this week isn't quite so monstrous, but a fair amount of comics do come out. The most significant would have to be Captain America: Reborn #1. I've already discussed my displeasure on the resurrection of Steve Rogers (please check that Feature post out), but this will definitely be the most important comic book series for quite some time, so I have to highly recommend getting it.
Captain America may be hogging the spotlight, but don't forget about War of Kings #5. The series has provided some great characterization of popular characters like Gladiator and Crystal while also dishing out some intense fight sequences. This issue builds up the final showdown between Black Bolt and Vulcan.
DC has some pretty major releases as well. Batman and Robin #2 and Green Lantern Corps #38 both drop tomorrow. Grant Morrison did a phenomenal job creating a clever new dynamic between the duo and a horrific new villain. Blackest Night comes ever closer as the Emerald Eclipse story arc comes to a close in Green Lantern Corps.
Other comics from Marvel are Cable #16, Invincible Iron Man #15, and Uncanny X-Men #513. Cable is finally over with Messiah War and begins a new arc. In Invincible Iron Man we'll be treated to a fight between Iron Man and Madame Masque as World's Most Wanted continues. Utopia, the Dark Avengers and X-Men crossover, will be progressing in the pages of Uncanny X-Men.
